A question in high-school Tamil – that never got answered !!

Person A: If you see, the language of Tamil is simpler and more efficient when compared to English. ஒரு ஆங்கில வார்த்தையைப் பொருள் பிறழாமல் அதே ஓசையோடு குறைந்த எழுத்துகளில் தமிழில் வெளிப்படுத்தி விடலாம்.There are so many examples for that.For instance, take the word “Cow” in English.It has 3 letters. “C”, “o”, “w”.In Tamil, you can convey the same meaning with the same sound using “கௌ”.It has only 1 letter “கௌ”.

Person B: Sir, but there are three letters.

Person A: “டேய் . அதான் சொல்றேன்ல .அது மூணையும் நாங்க பிரிச்சுப் பாக்கறதில்ல. அது மொத்தமா சேத்து ஒன்னு தான்”.
